Our Story

One Showroom, One Passion

A saree house built in Basaveshwaranagar around one simple idea: help every customer find the drape they were picturing, and treat them like family while doing it.

Our Philosophy

Sarees, Chosen By Hand

Vastram Silks and Sarees is built around one simple habit: every saree in the showroom is chosen and shown by hand, by people who know the difference between good weaving and great weaving. There's no rush to sell — just a genuine love for the craft and the patience to help someone find exactly the drape they were picturing, whether they're shopping in person or over a WhatsApp call.

That care is what still defines Vastram today: sourcing carefully, explaining fabric honestly, and treating every visitor like they matter more than the sale.

Our Showroom

A Space Built Around the Collection

Our showroom in Basaveshwaranagar was designed around one goal: do the collection justice. That means proper room to display Kanjivaram and Banarasi silks the way they deserve, enough space for customers to browse unhurried, and a store that looks as good as the sarees inside it.

Our grand opening was inaugurated by Dr. Nagalakshmi, and the celebration that followed — full of colour, sarees and well-wishers — is captured in the photos below, straight from our showroom.

Meet the Owner

Bindu Mohan

The founder behind Vastram's eye for weaving and its reputation for treating every customer like family.

Bindu Mohan

Founder, Vastram Silks and Sarees

Bindu Mohan comes from a family with deep roots in the textile and fashion world, and that early exposure to fine fabric shaped the eye she now brings to every saree at Vastram. Over 5+ years in the saree business, she has built Vastram's name one careful selection at a time — sourcing personally, styling customers herself, and making sure every visitor leaves with a saree that actually suits them.

What drew her to sarees was never a business plan on paper — it was a genuine fashion sense and a real passion for the drape itself: the weave, the border, the way a good saree can be styled a dozen different ways. That same passion is what customers notice the moment they walk in, and it's the reason Vastram has grown from a single showroom into a name people in Basaveshwaranagar recognise and trust.
